Es ist schon wieder 10 Tage her, dass ich das letzte mal geschrieben hab und morgen sind wir schon 4 Wochen da. Das ging alles erschreckend schnell... ich hab auch wieder viel zu erzählen von den 10 Tagen, ich hoffe ich kanns irgendwie übersichtlich halten! Zum schreiben hab ich jedenfalls viel Zeit, weil Marina mit ihren Eltern in deren "Sommer"-Hütte ist und ich die Wohnung für mich alleine hab... ich werd mich langweilen... aber eigentlich sollte ich auch was für die Uni tun!

Zuerstmal wird heute mein "kleines" ;) Patenkind neun Jahre alt und feiert ohne mich :( aber zum Glück war Amazon so verlässlich, mein Geschenk zu verschicken und ich hab heut morgen schon über Skype gratuliert. Sogar mit Webcam, sodass ich die neue Zahnspange sehen konnte, hehe...

JETZT aber zu letzter Woche... Marina und ich haben obligatorische finnische Saunagänge gestartet! Weil wir hier in Finnland sind, ist unser Wohnheim ja verrückterweise mit einer kostenlosen Sauna ausgestattet (keine Gemeinschaftsräume, ABER eine Sauna, so is das...) und die haben wir uns letzte Woche Freitag mal reserviert. Davor hab ich mir den Wikipediaartikel über Sauna durchgelesen und bin zur Überzeugung gekommen, dass ich GARANTIERT nicht krank werde, wenn wir das regelmäßig machen und dem wird mir jeder Finne sicherlich zustimmen. Also wird das jetzt ausprobiert! Ich hab trotzdem noch Zweifel, obs mir am Ende so gut gefällt, dass ichs in Deutschland beibehalte... we'll see...

Am Mittwoch war hier die "offizielle" Einführung der neuen Studenten von der Student Union, genannt Baptism... konkret hieß das: Treffpunkt um 12, optionsweise mit massig Alkohol im Gepäck. Dann wurden alle neuen und später auch alle Austauschstudenten als offizielle Mitglieder der Student Union eingeführt (mit Eid usw.) und danach mussten "lustige" Spielchen bewältigt und Punkte ergattert werden. Ich hab leider keine Fotos, also warte ich auf jemanden von dem ich sie mir klauen darf (Falk?!?)

Genau so lustig war auch die Sit Sit Party, auf der wir gestern waren. Wir haben von vorneherein schon die Regeln per email bekommen, um den Eintrag unnötigerweise in die Länge zu ziehen, kann ich sie ja mal posten:

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW WHEN ATTENDING A SITZ PARTY Toast master
There is usually two or three toast masters (toustit in Finnish). They sit at their own table so that they can see everyone attending the sitz party. Toast masters are the managers of the party which means that they start and finish the party, order the breaks, act as lead singers and give whoever they wish the floor.
Rules
When toast masters talk, you shut up.
Breaks will be announced by toast masters. You will NOT go to the bar, bathroom or have a smoke if it is not the break time. After the break, you will return to your seat on time.
If you want a drink, you have to call for a waiter (tarjoilija in Finnish). The waiter will come and ask what you want, take the payment (cash preferred) and bring you your drink. Under NO circumstances are you to get up if not explicitly given a permission!
Singing starts from silence.
There will NO eating, drinking (unless someone calls mellan sup, see Survival Sitz Party Swedish section) or talking during singing.
You sing.
No one will be called to perform alone (only groups).
When someone performs, you shut up and you admire.
Punishment will follow if one does not obey the rules.

SURVIVAL SITZ PARTY SWEDISH FOR BEGINNERS Samling = gathering
Tradition from Denmark. Anyone can start samling call by raising his/her glass towards his/her peers and starting to yell samling. Peers will join him/her and raise their glasses together up in the air. EVERYONE will join the call, which will keep on going until there's no oxygen left in callers' lungs. After running out of oxygen the ONE WHO STARTED THE CALL will move on to toasting stage by placing his/her glass on the table, calling SKIT, SKÅL (Swedish for Shit, cheers) and having a gulp. Others will follow.
Mellan sup = gulp in between
Mellan sup can be called by anyone at any point in the middle of a song. When you hear this call, you will take a sip from your glass. No toasting is involved with this call. The one who called mellan sup, is naturally then responsible for carrying on singing after the call.
N.N. på bordet = N.N. on stage
A person or a group will be called to the stage by singing together: N.N. på bordet, vi vill ha N.N. på bordet... If performer(s) take too much time thinking what they should perform, the crowd will after a while start singing: Vi har väntat länge nu, länge nu, länge nu... (We have waited long enough, long enough, long enough...)
Omstart = restart
Can be called when one wants that the song going on will be started again for whatever reason. Reasons can be e.g. too low volume, wrong melody, general hassle, freak-out etc.
Det var den bästa, den bästa vi har hört = That was the best, the best that we have heard
Will be called after a well-done performance
Conference = Anyone can shout conference when there is no performance or singing going on. It means that the shouter wants to have a break. Toast masters will take this into consideration but you are still not allowed to leave your seat, until given permission!

Genau so merkwürdig, wie sich das jetzt anhört wars auch. Sitz Partys sind übrigens schwedisch und deshalb wird auch Schwedisch gesprochen! Gestern hab ich auch Bilder gemacht:
